The Story

My name is Marcus Blakey, and I have dedicated over 20 years to the field of education, navigating the complexities and challenges of modern classrooms first hand. Throughout my career, I have experienced the highs and lows of teaching, from the joy of inspiring young minds to the difficulties of managing disruptive behaviour. These experiences have shaped my understanding of the unique pressures and situations teachers face daily.

For the past 6 years I have been privileged to work across 4 colleges, training, coaching and mentoring both new and experienced teachers, and one of the most common areas of support I have provided has been with the high percentage of teachers who feel they have had inadequate behaviour management training and have not felt confident with deescalating challenging behaviour effectively.

This realisation ignited a passion in me to make a difference. Drawing on my experience as a Police personal safety trainer and my military background, I liaised with key Designated Safeguarding Leads and SEN coordinators, to develop education specific, conflict resolution and de escalation training packages that incorporate real-world strategies that work.

I decided to take this expertise and founded Classroom Conflict Solutions. My goal was simple: to provide fellow educators with the tools they need to create harmonious, productive learning environments.

I understand the importance of relatable, hands-on training from someone who has walked in a teachers shoes, which is why the training programs are designed to address the specific challenges teachers encounter.
